Matt was an unbelievable asset to our day. We wanted a photographer who felt and acted like a friend— and he sure did. In addition to his warm, calm, and friendly approach with us and all the people we love most, he made our photos feel like a reflection of us. My partner and I weren’t enthralled about the idea of feeling like movie stars on our wedding day with thousands of staged portraits. We preferred someone with a playful and curious documentary style, capturing the biggest and smallest moments alike. When we look back at photos, the raw and organic nature allow us to experience the moments all over again. The sunset, music, hugs, tears, singing, laughter, outpouring of love— it’s all so clear in his photography. We are forever grateful for him.

Matthew’s talent as a photographer shines through the whimsy and joy he is able to capture with his photos. I use Leica M rangefinders with manual focus vintage lenses, which have been the highest quality cameras available for wedding photography and journalism since 1954.
